I am taking a leave of absence for two months from my blog ”The peaceful revolution,” to let all visitors to this blog understand that I will spend my retirement time not to promote your products but only to guide visitors to improve health, happiness and wealth. Lately, as my blog becomes popular, many visitors to this blog only try to promote their products. Please, you have many blogs to do that and I wish you success, but please stay off my blog. DO YOU HAVE A QUESTION THAT MAY HELP YOU IMPROVE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS OR HAPPINESS, HEALTH AND WEALTH?

I will return in two months to see what you wrote. If I get questions that relate to specific postings, I will open this source of information again. Remembering 911!

I am an American. America is the light onto the nations. The US constitution is the light to America. 3000 Americans and innocent people from other nations who worked or visited the twin towers on September 11, 2001 perished at the had of Islamic terrorists. Today, America remembers. America rebuilt itself and created a memorial, the same America that has created a memorial in Honolulu to the murdered Americans at Pearl Harbor of December 7, 1941. America is always slow to react to attacks because it has no anger in its personality but at the end it always prevails and lead, albeit suffering unnecessary pain because it has no anger. Psychologically speaking, the terrorists that attacked America on 9/11 and 12/7 had too much misplaced anger while America that was attacked had too little of it. Rarely in human history do countries or individuals respond to a vicious attacks correctly and appropriately, why? Because educational systems in democracies throughout human history avoid teaching children how to respond to adversity. America is our best example of how to survive in a difficult world but America is not our best example how to respond and thrive in a difficult world. We leave that education to the future when we learn to express anger appropriately. God bless America!

My psychological blog (drelior.wordpress.com) and behavioral investing blog (eliorkinarthy.wordpress.com) have new rules that will limit my ability to respond to blogs and websites that sell products or services as of today: 1) I have become very busy lately with my volunteer work to build a hospital and my academic activities, 2) Today I have had more visitors to my two blogs than I have had since I started blogging years ago, and I must limit my approval from now on only to messages in English and messages commenting on my postings or asking questions. I will no longer have the time to check out commercially related postings and postings not in English. I want to be able to respond to visitor to my blogs who make a comment or ask a question since they are seeking information. The Peaceful Revolution will continue to operate but in a limited way. My two blogs are designed to express my views as a scientist and as a psychologist and provide information to the world public that I believe may improve people’ lives if used correctly, nothing else. My blogs are not designed to generate income, promote products or services or conventional in-the-box behavior. And, I can’t respond to languages I don’t know. Thank you very much for following these new instructions that will make it easier for me to respond to those who seek out guidance in life!

I just saw their commercial as I was looking at my soul mate of 30 years and I had to respond. Thirty years ago one of my most popular assignment to my psychology students was to arrange interviews with owners of dating services. In those days there was a stigma about dating outside the norm. My students believed that those who use these services to find a date-mate are homely, poor, not good-looking, don’t know how to talk to the opposite sex and are shy. I don’t know how reliable eHarmoney.com is but the idea of computerized matching is psychologically sound. Here are the statistics: Before you marry the woman you met at school, at the party or though your sister or by accident, you have known about 100 eligible women. About seven of them would have made good wives. You usually don’t choose those. One would have made an ideal wife, you don’t even pay attention to her. You ended marrying someone in the middle of the pack because you never really found the ideal one. As I said, I don’t know about eHarmony.com but a great computerised introductory service should have about 10,000 registered individuals. If you are matched with the best of those, you and her would certainly look and act like the 4 couples in love in the eHarmony commercial I just saw. I say, go for it if you can’t find the love of your life in your neighborhood. But, remember, you really need to answer the questionnaire truthfully and kind of know what you are really looking for in the long run. Just because you both like labradoodles or surfing is not enough. A great match has to do with the Freudian Edipus and Electra Complexes!

I really want to help. Last night I watched Spielberg’s movie Help and I asked myself why can’t we all get together on Facebook and Twitter to get the ball rolling toward a better life. What is holding us back? The answer came the next morning, Saturday, as befitting the Hebrew Shabbat. What is holding us back is that we don’t know where to go from here. There are just too many people having too many false solutions that look good to their followers. Am I just another dude with an idea? You would think so unless you have read Walden II and followed the lives of Rousseau, Buddha, Freud, Skinner and Pavlov. The first question you have to ask yourself in trying to understand how C-MOR can create a great life for all humans on this planet is the perennial question; is man good, bad or a blank tablet? The answer is simple. Man’s behavior is good if the environment he grows in is safe, supportive and friendly and the school he goes to is designed by C-MOR experts. Man’s behavior is bad if the environment he grows in is unsafe, not supportive or friendly and the school he goes to is designed by today’s educators (in every country!). The child’s brain is a blank tablet for parents, schools and care givers to write on.

C-MOR stands for contingency management of resources. It is very easy to learn and implement if you are serious about creating a mid-course-maneuver in your life and others. Without doing it you’d have to explain to your children why a better life is always just around the corner in your community! My posting today isn’t just another reading to browse on the Internet. Stay with me only if you are comfortable with this obvious truth (at 75 I am no longer a politically correct psychologist). If you continue to read I will assume you are serious enough to want to learn about life from Freud, Skinner, Pavlov and Buddha and I will continue to write

Contingency is a technical English word that Skinner described as behavior that is controlled by its consequences. In Eastern philosophy the word is akin to the word Karma: You make good causes and you get good effects, you make bad causes and you get bad effects. In the Bible it is : “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7-9. In Behaviorism it is called positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement and punishment. Here is an example from today: I was seated in food court at the mall for lunch when I saw a mother screaming at her screaming young daughter, “Don’t scream at your mother.” There is nothing more important in human relationships than to learn about contingencies! It will be giant step for mankind, even greater than landing on the moon! Now that I got your attention for sure, let me tell you what the Russian Pavlov got to do with all these. I was once at a party and a beautiful girl was all over a guy she just met who was trying to avoid her company. I asked the host because was curious and I knew what to look for (practice: you can too). Turned out that the beautiful girl wear similar jewelry that his girlfriend wear on the weekend she cheated on him! But, why was she all over him? Guess what, took me a week to find out that he wore a shirt like the one she bought for her dad for his birthday in Hawaii! You see, a genius Russian, Pavlov, found out that our emotions develop by association with events in our lives (now you know why brocoli turns you off and vanilla ice-cream doesn’t).

From time to time I will write more about C-MOR if there is demand. You see, I get emotional about good people, and their visits to my blog is my reward. That is why I took an hour of my busy day to write the best posting that I ever did Get going with C-MOR!

Superfoods!

Here is something useful to know ahead of time from my book on cancer that will be out next year or in 2013. I read nutritionists say that there are no superfoods. NOT TRUE! I define superfood as one of the ten best foods on earth that are best for your body when it is a healthy or when it is sick. I will list two superfoods today: FLAX MEAL and ALOE VERA. Every morning I grind two table spoonfuls of flax seeds in a coffee grinder and add to a glass of hot alkaline water. After 2-3 minutes I have a thick drink that taste good with any fresh fruit. And, if you think that flax is amazing only because it is loaded with Omega 3, think again. It fights cancer, obesity, heart attack, HBP and just about everything else that can go wrong with the body. But, here is the catch. Flax works as a superfood only within a healthy life-style, so what are you waiting for?

I promised you another superfood for today; Aloe Barbadensis. Don’t ask me how to take Aloe. I take it any way I can that is safe, even in my sunscreen! To say “A bottle of Aloe drink at Wal-Mart costs $2.49″ defeats the purpose of this posting. Do your research on Google, spend time on your health. OK, I’ll give you a bit more information on Aloe than I have given you on Flax, but, for God’s sake, go to Google more often than you do and learn to distinguish real info from the junk. Barbadensis boosts your T-lymphocytes, reduces inflammation, pain and skin problems. Do you want more? Don’t ask your doctor. Aloe can stop just about anything bad that otherwise will happen in your body! But, wait a minute. Aloe will do you no good unless you change into a healthy life-style. Superfoods are superfoods, they are not magic foods. There is no magic food, only magic lives. A posting from the one who cares!

Listening to people on CNN, BBC and other media discussing how to make your country, city or community a great place to live in makes me frustrated because no one really states the obvious: You can make your community great only by changing the educational system from what it is now to what I call the C-MOR system. Meantime until this lost generation passes on you can train your community leaders and police in the C-MOR system. You will probably notice the difference with a week if you do the C-MOR right!

Go for it. If you don’t know the C-MOR system because you haven’t read my blogs, get to work. When you have accumulated the information you may post questions to perfect your understanding of the C-MOR approach!

Shallow news reporting in the US can harm Americans.

Let’s tell the truth for a change before the US is hurt more and more. News reporting is false, harmful and politically correct bul… The irony is that some of these navy seals who died, their relatives or friends voted for inexperienced Obama for president in 2008. He made a mistake and sent the navy “seals” to Afghanistan without a strategic plan and 31 well-trained commandos were killed by the Taliban. CNN reports that the president responded to our loss the way he was supposed to respond (show his sadness, sent condolences, make caring speeches, etc.), not a word about changing policy, regret, admitting error, firing the commander, new thinking, etc. He makes a mistake by using a speech about the loss of super trained American fighters to improve his political rating (more people now tend to vote for Obama for another 4 years of economic and military pain). Obama is smart but it is not good for the country because the news media does not tell the fact. Here is a bigger case in point.

Obama tells Assad of Syria that he must stop killing his countrymen. CNN reports it in a shallow way. I don’t know whether Obama is misinformed, stupid, speaks without a strategy or chooses to ignore reality. Since CNN will not tell you the truth, let me do it so you can say “Wow, I didn’t know that!” Assad is a Shia Muslim (Alawite), only one out of every five Syrians is (all commanders are Alawites). Four out of every five Syrians in the street is a Suni Muslim (Saudi Wahabi). The two groups have fought bitter wars for a 1000 years. The war in Syria is “systemic.” Assad cannot stop without being killed! There is a solution and I will include it in my next posting if Obama asked!
